Marco and Robert are on their way to Kathmandu - they left on a jetplane today at about 21:00 GMT
The run up to today has been very hectic for Robert and Marco, finishing the last few loose ends and complete packing prior to the flight today, jiuggling many different varieties of tasks. But all of that should be behind them now... The only thing on their minds should be the journey and adventure ahead of them.

The Challenge8000 team will have to endure extreme hardships during their 61-day trek to reach the summit of Everest. This expedition will involve long hours of arduous trekking, climbing and temperatures as low as -45oC.

The Challenge8000 team will be hosting a pre-Everest Press Conference on Wednesday 3rd February 2010 at 9.00am. The press conference will be held at the Radisson Golden Sands Resort & Spa (Coral Suite) and is open to the general public.
